WHAT IS SMART PERIMETER ALARMS

It is a unique smart perimeter security solution utilizing patterns of light vibrations in fibre optic cables. Each movement on or around a perimeter fence has a unique signature. These signatures can be combined into patterns to uniquely identify movement and the type of movement occurring at a fence allowing the smart perimeter solution to accurately alarm and notify. This leads to a high level of reliability and a significant reduction in costs and false alarms on a perimeter fence.

NEW OR EXISTING

If the perimeter already have electric fencing or CCTV zones the smart perimeter solution will be able to utilise the existing enclosure, electrical and data connectivity to link back to the control room, minimising the civils, electrical and data infrastructure installation costs. The fibre sensor zones can be design in conjunction with the electrical fence and/or CCTV zones. The zone length is usually based on a manageable distance, which means detection, verification and reaction is optimal for the distance used.

The solution can be used as part of a new perimeter design as well as complimenting an existing investment by limiting the noise level of alarms to provide efficiency in the management of risks. The accuracy of the detection algorithms combined with the flexibility of alarm type setup (what is allowed and what is suppressed) per zone, makes the solution more suited to real life implementations.
